Our Story
Built on Trust,
Driven by Craft
Five Lakes Kitchen and Bath was founded on the belief that the spaces we live in every day should be as intelligently crafted as they are beautiful. For more than two decades, we've been designing and transforming kitchens throughout northern Oakland and Macomb counties, creating spaces that feel elevated, enduring, and distinctly personal.
We've chosen to remain a small, hands-on studio because we believe the best work comes from genuine involvement. Paul, the owner of Five Lakes Kitchen and Bath, is personally engaged in every project, from the earliest design conversations through the details of installation. His expertise brings continuity, experience, and a discerning eye to every decision along the way.
Our Rochester Hills studio is an extension of that philosophy: a highly curated collection of cabinetry, stone, and finishes selected over years of working with materials we know, trust, and believe in.
We're drawn to clients who value the details, appreciate exceptional craftsmanship, and believe in taking the time to create something truly right for their home.
If this sounds like you, we'd be delighted to meet you.

The Five Lakes
Process
A highly collaborative approach to kitchen design, where you're personally guided from the very first conversation through the final details of your finished space.
Consultation & Measure
We begin with a conversation, an opportunity to understand your home, your inspiration, and how you want to live in your space. Whether by phone or in our studio, we'll talk through what's working, what isn't, and what you hope to create. We'll discuss your timeline, desired investment and work to understand your objectives. From there, we'll determine whether our design philosophy and approach are the right fit for your project. Our team will then visit your home to measure your space and begin the design phase.
Design & Selection
Your vision begins to take shape through a thoughtfully guided design process. In our studio, you'll experience and compare a curated selection of cabinetry, surfaces, and finishes firsthand. We bring each detail together through tailored space planning, realistic 3D renderings, and carefully considered material selections, creating a cohesive design and a clear vision for your finished space.
Construction & Completion
Our skilled craftsmen bring your design to life with care and attention to detail, from the initial stages of construction through the final finishing touches. Throughout the process, your project manager provides expert guidance, clear communication, and attentive oversight to ensure every detail is carried through as envisioned. We'll provide a highly personalized experience and a finished space you'll love for years to come.
